Recent Trauma Episode Protocol and Group Resource Enhancement  Protocol Training

The Steering Committee will be offering an IN-PERSON one day training in RTEP (Recent Trauma Episode Protocol) and GREP (Group Resource Enhancement Protocol) on November 3rd.

There’s been a growing interest to join the Trauma Recovery Network (see more information on the website) but some people haven’t had an opportunity to train in one of the EMDR Early Intervention Protocols. It will also be open to any Central Oregon EMDR therapist who has completed the Basic Training. We are offering this at a reduced rate of $75 in order to make it as accessible as possible. Non-licensed trainees are welcome; however, they are not eligible to be part of the Trauma Relief Network until they are licensed. The Training will be held at the DCBH, 2577 NE Courtney Street office.

Here are some of the details:

Description: Recent Traumatic Episode Protocol was developed by Elan Shapiro and Brurit Laub of Israel. The goal of these protocols is to reduce the likelihood of delayed onset PTSD, depression, anxiety, OCD, substance use, relationship and health issues that can be exacerbated by trauma. They also assist in fostering resiliency in individuals who have experienced trauma of a man made or natural disaster. The EMDR R-TEP protocol is applied when a recent event has occurred that requires containment and additional assistance with integration beyond the standard protocol. It is a comprehensive approach to treating recent events in the belief that serious trauma symptoms may be prevented by receiving early interventions. The Group Resource Enhancement Protocol is a recently developed protocol that can be used in small groups or individually to provide multiple resources for stabilization. This protocol was developed by Maria Masciandoro, a Senior RTEP/GTEP Trainer, to assist Ukraine Mental Health Workers who are being overwhelmed by the multitude of traumatized Ukranians they are working with.
