Central Oregon's Trauma Recovery Network
Dear EMDR Clinicians,
We’re looking for more central Oregon EMDR clinicians who might be available to join our area Trauma Recovery Network (TRN). The TRN is part of a national program where communities of EMDR clinicians come together to respond to disasters or violence in their communities by offering limited pro-bono EMDR group or individual sessions to those impacted by the events. There are many TRNs throughout the US and Canada. Our Central Oregon TRN, for instance, has been in existence for over a decade and has responded to several community traumatic events.
How do we respond? When we are asked by the community, our TRN coordinators reach out to those clinicians who are part of our local TRN to ask if they are available to meet with individuals or to lead a group, utilizing Early EMDR Intervention protocols. There is no obligation to volunteer if you are unable. Clinicians who join the TRN are asked to offer, at no cost, up to 3 sessions for individuals or one group. EMDR therapy can continue beyond 3 sessions by agreement of the client and the clinician utilizing the client’s insurance; the clinician could also refer the client to another clinician. The clinician is not obligated to provide the additional sessions at no cost.
Requirements to participate include maintaining professional licensure, current professional liability insurance, and having additional EMDR training in one (or more) of Early EMDR Intervention Protocols.
If you are interested in joining the Central Oregon TRN, please complete an interest form on the Central Oregon EMDR Therapist Network (https://www.emdrcentraloregon.com/emdr-therapist-network).
